Orla O’Regan

Orla O’Regan is a senior manager leading liquidations of solvent and insolvent entities. She has over twelve years’ experience in restructuring, insolvency and forensic accounting working in the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Guernsey, and the British Virgin Islands.

Orla graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting with Law) from the University of Limerick and hold a Diploma in Insolvency and Corporate Recovery awarded by the Law Society of Ireland. She is a member of the Char- tered Accountants Ireland (CAI), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE).

Offshore experience includes over a year working with a Cayman Islands captive management company dealing with regulatory and insolvency issues for 45 captives (cores and cells) located in the Cayman Islands and Bahamas, winding down a fund administration company and co-ordinating the re-homing of a portfolio of funds and trusts (registered in numerous jurisdictions), part of an on-site inspection of a bank with an offshore Regulator and managing solvent and insolvent liquidations in various jurisdictions often with complex cross border issues.

Orla’s onshore experience includes property, personal and pre-pack receiverships, examinerships, assisting with the administration of an insurance and re-insurance company, managing liquidations and forensic accounting. Orla also spent four months in the financial planning team of the fortune 500 company PepsiCo.
