Kieran Clarke

Kieran Clarke is a senior fund accountant. He has over five years’ experience in fund accounting and assurance with a history of working with funds, insurance companies, trusts, public and private companies. Kieran is well versed in IFRS & US GAAP whilst performing audits to ISA, US GAAS and PCAOB standards across a wide variety of regions and industry sectors.

Kieran oversees set up and maintenance of accounts for client entities most recently including a multi-billion dollar fund undergoing a complex restructuring whilst managing inbound and outbound litigation. He has extensive experience in dealing with both NAV and financial statement preparation and review and is well placed to liaise with stakeholders including auditors, fund accountants, valuation experts, legal counsel, advisory committee member and other service provide.

Kieran began his career in a Big-4 firm in Dublin engaged in the audit of large investment fund structures including mutual, hedge, venture capital, private equity or fund of funds executing a variety of strategies. Kieran acted as the main point of contact on some of the firm’s largest engagements including the audit of the private equity arm and related fund of fund structures of one of the world’s largest private banking and asset management groups. He has developed significant valuation experience of a wide variety of financial assets whilst dealing with multiple price vendors and both in-house and international valuation specialists.

Since moving to Cayman, Kieran has developed expertise working in the captive insurance market and has completed secondments auditing a wide variety of public and private companies.

Kieran holds a BA Hons degree in International Business and Chinese and a post graduate degree in Accountancy and Finance. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, the Restructuring and Insolvency Specialists Association in the Cayman Islands, INSOL International and the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants.
