Anna Silver manages our office in the British Virgin Islands. She guides our clients through a variety of situations, throughout the life cycle of their businesses; from incorporation, to acting as registered agent or authorised representative, through to liquidating their interests and dissolving the company / fund.

In the distressed space, she has extensive experience as an insolvency practitioner and advisor, providing guidance to stakeholders of businesses; both from the early signs of difficulties, where options analysis may show that the business could be rescued through a restructuring, to the latter stages of distress, where liquidations may be used to realise value for stakeholders. Anna is experienced and adept at navigating hostile circumstances that may necessitate enforcement using more aggressive approaches, such as court receiverships or liquidations, especially where creditors have interests that require protection, or where assets are at risk that need urgent protection.

Anna has been offshore since 2017 and prior to that worked at independent boutique firms across the UK, leading trading administrations and restructuring engagements.

With over 15 years’ experience working across a wide range of industries and jurisdictions, Anna is highly experienced dealing with a variety of restructuring and insolvency procedures. She has practical experience leading assignments involving offshore and onshore structures, as well as complex jurisdictions such as the Middle East, Russia and Eastern Europe.

Anna has also provided advisory services to other fiduciaries providing financial analysis and forecasting. As well as being appointed as an independent director, in both distressed and non-contentious situations.

As FFP offers the full range of services, from incorporation to liquidation – Anna also has years of experience dealing with corporate matters, mergers & acquisitions, as well as supervising regulated businesses. This multi-disciplinary experience results in a holistic approach as she brings real-world knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory matters, to all her engagements and appointments. The understanding of how things “should” be done, assists greatly when working on insolvency engagements where transactions need to be reviewed from the standpoint of the reasonable person.

Anna is a qualified charted accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. She is Joint Board qualified, a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and is a BVI insolvency license holder. She also holds a BA Hons degree in Law, as well as a post-graduate diploma in international insolvency law, which she completed – with distinction – in 2016.

Anna is also currently studying towards obtaining the Society of Trustees and Estate Planners (STEP) Diploma, as so many of the corporate structures we see have a trust aspect, both in the distressed and non-contentious space, adding the TEP to her qualifications is important to be able to continue to offer the highest level of services to FFP clients.
