Caroline Moore is a senior manager specialising in providing independent fiduciary, insolvency and restructuring services to offshore registered companies.
Caroline has over 13 years’ experience as a financial services professional, and has worked in the Cayman Islands offshore sector since 2008. During that time, she has developed a comprehensive understanding and insight into the wide variety of risks, valuation methodologies and financial reporting requirements for a range of fund and asset types. She also has a thorough knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of boards and service providers. As a result, she is well positioned to advise in respect of a variety of situations and corporate governance and regulatory issues.
Caroline’s recent experience includes involvement in a number of investigations and complex liquidations of Cayman Islands funds with a range of assets, and she currently acts as an independent director of a number of offshore funds and Special Purpose Vehicles. She is also closely involved with ground-breaking litigation arising from the failure of one of the feeder funds to the Madoff Ponzi scheme.
Prior to joining FFP, Caroline was a manager at a ‘Big 4’ Accounting and Advisory practice in the Cayman Islands, where she specialised in the audit of investment funds with a variety of structures and strategies, and gained knowledge of the many diverse issues affecting a wide range of asset types and investment vehicle structures. She trained with PwC in the UK, gaining a wide range of experience across a diverse range of industries and entity types, from small owner-managed companies to FTSE listed public entities.
Caroline has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 2007, and is also a member of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants, INSOL International, the Restructuring and Insolvency Specialists Association in the Cayman Islands, 100 Women in Hedge Funds, the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation and the Cayman Islands Directors’ Association. She is also registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority as an Approved Director and accredited in the same capacity by ICSA Canada.
